Salsa at City Hall happens on select Wednesdays in July and August, at Ottawa City Hall starting at 6:30pm until 10pm. This year Salsa at City Hall will be taking place on: July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, August 14, August 21 and August 28.

All Salsa at City Hall events are free!

No, we’ll teach you! Each event starts with an absolute beginner salsa lesson, followed by an absolute beginner lesson in another latin dance style. 

No, you’ll meet lots of other dancers here! You can ask anyone to dance, but if you’re feeling shy, ask one of our volunteers!

Comfortable, casual summer clothes, and shoes that will stay on your feet (avoid flip-flops or open-back shoes).

The concrete rink might wreck suede or other delicate soles, so we recommend street-soled shoes.

Children are very welcome, but be aware that prolonged exposure to loud music can lead to hearing damage. Please keep your little ones far away from the speakers.

There are water fountains on site, so bring a reusable water bottle! Feel free to bring your own snacks or soft drinks. Absolutely no alcohol is allowed on site.

We do not have a coat/bag check or any secure storage area. We recommend leaving valuables at home.

No registration required! Absolute beginner classes start at 6:30pm and 7:15pm. No need to sign in, just join in when the class begins!
